Extracting chromatogram signals from PDA data

To add a signal at a specific wavelength and then calibrate it, use the following workflow.

  1. In the PDA Window, use the horizontal line marker in the Isoplot View (alternatively, use the vertical line marker in the Spectral View) and move it to you desired wavelength.
  2. Once satisfied with the current wavelength of the spectrum, add the signal using the menu Chromatogram - Add Signal... command.
  3. The dialog for adding a signal will open. It is advantageous to use the signal's wavelength as the new name of the signal when using the Add option. Fill in the details and click OK.
  4. In the Chromatogram window you will see there is a new signal with the name you have specified. (e.g. PAH - 232).
  5. Now you can calibrate chromatograms based on the different wavelengths.
