Add Peak

Adds the selected peak from the calibration standard to the calibration. If a matching compound is already present, its retention time (if enabled in Calibration Options) and Response are updated.

Invoking the Add Peak command or clicking the icon moves the cursor to the calibration standard graph, where the desired peak should be selected. Press Esc to cancel the command.

  • On All Signals / On Active Signal: Determines whether the peak response is added on all signals or only on the active signal. Peak identification is shared across all signals.
  • Automatic Calibration: When a new standard chromatogram is opened, Add Peak always assigns the peak to the first completely empty calibration level. As long as peaks are added from the same chromatogram, they are added to the last active level if they do not already have added responses here. A new calibration level is created if Add Peak is used on a peak that is already present on the last active level (even within the same chromatogram) or when a different chromatogram is opened.
  • Automatic Recalibration: The peak/compound is added or updated at the current level, with further adjustments possible later.
  • Manual Calibration or Recalibration: The (Re)Calibrate Peak dialog appears for direct data inspection and modifications.

Note:

If the calibration standard is hidden (e.g., by resizing the Calibration window or expanding the Compound Summary Table), the Add Peak command will not be active.
