Unauthorized Control Module
If a control module was not installed correctly, it is labeled as an unauthorized control module. DataApex is not liable for correct functionality of the given control module. Station with unauthorized control modules loses DataApex support.
In case Clarity detects that an unauthorized control module is configured on any Clarity Instrument, it will remove it from the configuration of the corresponding Instrument. The following message will appear just after Clarity start and this action will be logged in the Audit Trail as well.

Once the unauthorized control module has been removed from System Configuration it cannot be assigned to an Instrument anymore.
If you installed Clarity according to our installation procedure, you will never experience the yellow stripe informing about unauthorized control modules.

Unauthorized UNI Ruby control modules can be configured on a Clarity Instrument via the UNI Ruby module accessible from the Auxiliary section of the Available Control Modules. It is important to acknowledge that any unauthorized control modules may be responsible for incorrect functionality (not Clarity itself).
