Running a single analysis

1. Open the Single Analysis dialog by selecting Analysis - Single or by clicking the icon in the Instrument window.
2. Fill in the sample information in the Sample ID and/or Sample fields ⓐ.
3. Fill in the Chromatogram File Name ⓑ. It is recommended to use variables to do so, for example, %q (Sample ID) and %n (counter) or %R (date and time) to prevent file name conflicts. Name preview is displayed above the field. For more info regarding variables see "Chromatogram File Name" in the Clarity Help.
4. Select the Method ⓒ which should be used for measurement. It is also possible to edit it by clicking Edit Method.
5. What should happen after analysis like automatic report printing can be set on the Post-run Options tab.



6. Start the analysis by clicking the Run button ⓓ. Analysis can be triggered also by an External Start from the chromatograph. The Instrument will switch to the Running state and the Single Analysis dialog will close. The state is visible in the status line of the Instrument window.
