OPT-USB - Optical to USB Adapter

Translates signals between Optical cable and USB.

The OPT-USB adapter translates signals between an optical cable and a USB. The converter software emulates a COM port in the PC, so that it can also be used as an optical to RS232 converter. It can be used to control devices via optical link communication.
OPT-USB indicates the current state of communication using a green LED situated next to the USB connector on the right side of the box. The patterns corresponding to individual states are indicated on the backside.

The devices currently supported by Clarity include:

  • Shimadzu GC-14C gas chromatograph
  • Shimadzu GC-17A gas chromatograph
  • Shimadzu LC-10 AD HPLC pump
  • Shimadzu LC-20 AD HPLC pump
  • Shimadzu AOC-20 autosampler
