From improvised beginnings to the world
1991
Apex and the first A/D converter
DataApex company was founded in 1991. The idea came from a family request to replace an old integrator. Six months later, the Apex software and our own first A/D converter were born.
1995
First controlled instruments and extension
As DataApex grew, we adapted to the needs of our users and came up with the first controlled instruments. Also, the SST extension was created to provide tools for monitoring the correct function of the chromatography system.

2003
Worldwide expansion - more than 100 distributors over the world
At the turn of the millennium, DataApex outgrew the domestic market and expanded its operations worldwide. In 2000, 80% of our products were sold abroad.
2005
Clarity SDK is born
Since the interest in controlling the devices with our software was high, we developed the tool for external developers to help them create Clarity control modules. Clarity Software Development Kit has served this purpose since then.

2007
Key partnerships are formed with manufacturers
DataApex started a close cooperation with Knauer and Young In Chromass (formerly YoungLin) companies. We are happy that these partnerships have lasted until now.
Continuous growth and expansion of possibilities
2012
Moving into our own office
In 2012, DataApex acquired a new office space at Petržílkova. Since then you can meet us here on our trainings.
2013
Clarity speaks 6 languages
As we expanded to the world, the need for more languages than English was unmissable - in 2013, we reached the count of six - English, German, Chinese, Spanish, French, and Russian.
2014
Mass Spectrometry Extension has launched
Our portfolio of Extensions has been widened by MS Extension and complemented our first spectral extension - PDA. It allows the measuring and processing of data that has been acquired from selected MS detectors.
2018
Clarity facelift
In 2018, Clarity underwent a great transformation of its user interface to the new timeless design. This transformation took place in version 8.0.0.
2020
40 employees
DataApex grows. In 2020 we reached 40 employees. It is quite a progress from the five working co-owners in the beginning.
2022
More than 1000 controlled instruments
Not only DataApex but also our portfolio of controlled instruments is still growing. Recently, Clarity has hit 1000 controlled instruments. More to come in the future.
