General Purpose Fraction Collector (FC GP)
Control module for direct control of various fraction collectors.
General Purpose Fraction Collector (FC GP) is a UNI RUBY control module developed by DataApex. This module is designed to function with any fraction collector controlled by Collect/Waste and Next Fraction digital inputs. Compatible fraction collectors can be entirely controlled from the Clarity environment. This includes both control of fraction collection and display of fractions in chromatograms.
How to use FC GP
The FC GP control module, as implemented in Clarity, operates the fraction collector via a suitable hardware connection.
Main features
| Method Setup | Parameters of a fraction collection method (e.g., flow, start/end vial numbers, etc.) can be specified in the dedicated dialogs Fraction Table and Vial Numbers in the FC tab of Method Setup. Fractions are collected based on signal level/slope in the given time interval. |

| Online Monitoring | Online monitoring of the FC can be realized through Device Monitor and Data Acquisition. Moreover, Device Monitor allows the user to manually trigger the Collect/Waste and Next Fraction signals or return to the collection method. |
| Fraction Collector Results | The resulting chromatogram illustrates the timeframe and detector responses corresponding to collected fractions. More details can be found in the Fraction Collector Results table. It is possible to print the results or export them to other programs. |
